Collected Poems (Hard Cover)

Jinarajadasa, C.
Theosophical Publishing House

The author of these poems, an eminent Theosophist and from 1946 to 1953 President of the Theosophical Society, believed in the Japanese adage about writing a poem on each and every facet of life, be it a sunset, human relationships or yearning towards the Infinite. The poems present variegated human sentiments, including humour, and express the poet’s feelings and philosophical thoughts about ‘the beauty, melody and perfume of Life’. Having stated that ‘the nature of Art’ is in each of us, he also inspires the reader to explore and express it.

The poems were selected and arranged by C. Jinarâjadâsa’s secretary, Elithe Nisewanger, who fulfilled her promise to publish them. They were first published after his demise in 1953.
